Fall truly is a most amazing time of year

The leaves turning colors, both bright and dull

The wind softly sweeping them from their branches

The earth composting them slowly as they lie

Yes

The crispness of the air

The harvest taken

The home fires burning

Calling you home

Calling softly

to rest.... to prepare.. Winter is not far

My Best Friends

My best friends have four legs

lots of lovely long hair, and short hair

my friends are accepting of me

they only ask a bit of me

"Can we go for a walk?"

............of course we can, and we do for miles and miles

My friends enjoy having dinner with me, but of course

I am their favorite cook!

My friends love a good back scratch, and are so content afterwards

tho' they never scratch my back (intentionally)

..............but they do make me feel so good.

My friends listen to when I arrive and greet me with a smile

My friends are sad to see me leave

and always exhuberant to know I am home.

My friends are my dogs

No matter how hard that may seem for people to believe

I could be quite content living all alone for years

with only a house full of dogs

Each dog in my life has taught me a great deal

They have shown me how to be patient

they have taught me to be kind

they have accepted me, with and without makeup!

Yep, my really BEST Friends are

my Dogs, past ~present~ and I assume future ones

I can not live without my dogs

Today I put my best foot forward for a new day

~ yesterday was truly challenging

Today is all new, last night I filled my container with water

left it out for Sister Moon to leave her energy to fill me

with her love and light!

Today I am happy to be alive

Today I can smile

Today is a new Day

Truly a new Day!

Coffee n Work

Mabon, is just upon us, the leaves are beginning to turn, just about the time we should begin to slow down.

SLOW DOWN, pah-lezzzzzz if only..

I don't think I'll ever be really happy if I slow down

I love being busy, I love to challenge myself ~ attempting to figure out HOW I'll get it all together and keep it there

HOW I'll stay awake long enough to sing til 10 at night

HOW I'll wake up at 4:45 AM and smile all day long

BUT I DO IT

I MANAGE, cuz truly I enjoy my life

I enjoy trying as many things as possible, humanly or not!

TRY it.. it's fun!!

I saw the most elegant of stars this morning... and ursa minor.. so tiny in the big sky

It was the first morning in a long time that the sky was clear. It's been overcast for over a week, heavy with a humid air. The air is clear and cleaner this morning, with the beauteous sky, heavenly dare I say!

I used to do Angel Card and Fairy Card readings on a daily basis, and for friends.

The goddess and tarot entered my life, and I haven't chosen or looked at my old

cards in a very long time.

Last night I had the rare experience of being home alone, so I was sitting in a quiet NO TV space enjoying my living room when I noticed the cards on the wall in their holder, so I chose two..

the first said MAKING NEW FRIENDS

the second said LETTING GO

I have had a great deal of turmoil in my life with friends this past year.. from last October til today...great losses!

So my thoughts have been about letting go.. and this concurs!

It is time to move forward and let go!

It's all about making new friends

...........and enjoying MY life!
