The Snowy Day

Yep.. SNOW.. now anyone who knows me, knows just how much I love snow.. so this was an expected and wonderful treat..

These were taken in the first three hours of the storm, there is a small childs sandbox in the front corner of these pictures you can watch it disappear!

here are some of the photos I took.. yesterday and today.. total I think was about 10 inches! Here you can't see the sandbox at all!

My garden and fish pond!
The school.. and by the way I took this one from the ground after I fell and that man who happens to be married to me, didn't even notice!
 The garden today!
You can see the ground here, and one of the layers of snow, after we had already shoveled it all twice previous to this picture.

I love this photo.. all those happy little light orbs!
 Slides of Snow
 Our back door..
How fun.. the orbs are all the fairies riding inside the snow globes!  And an orb wrapped around the Peace sign in the school window! .. Just lovely.. lovely lovely!

Gramma!

So I learned to knit.. made myself a scarf, and since I don't know enough knitting yet I bought another skein of yarn and crocheted myself a beret to go with the scarf.
My grand-daughter took a couple of pictures, which my husband balked at saying, "Wow you really look like a gramma now!" "Hat and Scarf to match!"

Here I am telling him, he has to be good and can't be naughty!!...
Well ok, I guess I do look like a real gramma in these pictures.. but least you all know what I have been up to!
Merry Merry....

Crochet

Hey it's been so long ~ but a busy busy time of year..

My latest creation is a crochet beret, here it is..  the bottom, a side view and the top complete with pom-pom.

My Mom dropped by on Friday and asked if I could please make a hat for her friend who couldn't find a yellow hat to save her life to match a scarf her nephew had given her.. so wal-lah!  It took me about 3 hours.. no pattern and here is one of me sporting it for fun!

Not bad at all!..   Now I finished another scarf.. for myself this time... here it is

I made it nice and wide so that it would fold over around my neck and keep me toasty, it's soft and warm! I love it.. Thanks again to Sapphire Soleil who inspired me to learn to knit!  Yippee!!
And yes.. I am about to burst into hysterical laughter in that bottom photo!

Happy last days of Fall!
