The 25 Day NO Flour Challenge Day 22

Day 22
Yep.. 22 days have passed
I am feeling accomplished
To leave all breads, rolls (especially those damn portuguese grampa rolls in the local portuguese grocery store), english muffins, pasta, spaghetti and noodles alone for
22 days isn't something to scoff at
THINK ABOUT IT
WHEAT that is....
how often do you simply eat these without a second thought
Because we all grew up with it
Wheat is even one of the first ingredients in some/ most dog foods
WHY?
Well.. it's cheap
The government subsidizes the farmers for growing it
IS IT HEALTHY
?
sure
but not in every single thing we eat
 The Square Mushroom
The kids found this 'square' mushroom popping out of the ground yesterday
THIS IS FOOD
well maybe not this particular mushroom
BUT FOOD
it came from straight up from the earth
FOOD is PURE
and wasn't really meant to come in packages

THE LASTEST things to drive me crazy in the grocery store
CUT KALE in a PLASTIC BAG (OMG.. how lazy can one be)
SPINACH to MICROWAVE in plastic BAGS
NO REALLY
Why not eat the frikkin plastic bag toooo
 Would you EAT these PEBBLES?

WHY NOT?

People you are poisoning your bodies with plastics
Second thing I have learned
while looking for healthier food choices in eliminating flour
IS
NO PLASTIC
I actually managed to stick to only the perimeter aisles of the grocery store
Dairy...
Produce which mostly comes without plastic, but sadly not all of it!

This is WHO I used to be 270 something pounds...
And this is me 28 years later.. Looking younger ~ feeling healthier at 167 pounds
Yesterdays menu
The never ending Oatmeal bowl with raw almonds and a fresh peach
Snack  SEASNAX...seaweed
Lunch Raw spinach, with Zima tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh pineapple and cheese with apricots
Dinner
Steamers (clams fresh from the farmers market) Corn on the Cob and summer squash both also from the local farmers market purchased just before eating..
and lol
some of the black bean brownies my daughter made for my birthday with some Eddy's Ice Cream
that's going to hit the dust soon!
ENJOY THE DAY

"Each Person's journey is unique. We must refrain from interference. Setting an example is the only advice we should offer. Can I remain quiet when I need to today?"

love that quote!
